Excideuil
Excideuil, in the land of the Troubadours, is found in Périgord Vert which
falls within the confines of Périgord and Limousin and is part of the "Causses
et Rivières community of communes."
A guided tour of the historic centre of Excideuil is run from the Tourist
Office (times available upon request).
You may enjoy a wander around the foot of the castle, and, from May to
the end of September, there are art exhibitions within the castle walls.
These contemporary exhibitions are organised by the association "Excit"oeil".
Discover the church's astonishing bell tower and the statue of Marshall
Bugeaud who modernised agriculture within the region and who presented
the town with its Swan Fountain.
A variety of shops is available within easy walking distance and a supermarket
with a petrol station is only 1km away.
The weekly market is on Thursday mornings.
There are numerous free car parks available.
In Excideuil, or very close by, you will find a whole host of activities.

Following the riverbank is a keep fit course, there is a public swimming
pool open from June to September, there are 3 tennis courts, mountain bike

Medicine dating back to the 17th century; at Tourtoirac there are caves.
